Getting rid of the Fast Browser Search toolbar...

1. Go to about:config in the location bar.

2. Go to browser.search.defaultenginename and change to Google.

3. Go to browser.search.defaulturl and change to http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=.

4. Go to keyword.url and change to http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=.

1) Shutdown FF
2) Delete:

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome\fbstoolbar.jar
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome\fbstoolbar.manifest
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins\fast.xml
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins\fast.png
3) Start FF
4) Using about:config mentioned above, do a search on “fast” and “fbs” and reset each instance by right-clicking on each item found and choosing “Reset”
